NOMINATIONS are being sought for the prestigious Australian Wool Industry Medal, awarded annually to leading industry contributors, achievers, stalwarts and innovators.
Wool Industries Australia said since 2017 it has presented medals to celebrate those who have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to the Australian wool industry.
Medallists have been nominated from a broad range of sectors within and across the Australian wool industry including wool growing, classing and shearing; brokering education, market reporting and analysis, processing administration and regulation services, and science/research/testing/fashion and retail.
WIA is seeking industry people who have:
* Demonstrated outstanding service to the wool industry and is worthy of recognition?
* Made a contribution that has had a significant impact in/on the wool industry in either a specific field/sector or across industry?
* Received recognition elsewhere (eg: in the media, by other awards, professional / interest groups or through local government) or previously received an award relating to the wool industry.
Wool Industries Australia is the peak body for the Australian wool industry. Its members include the Australian Council of Wool Exporters and Processors, the Australian Wool Exchange, AWH Pty Ltd, Australian Wool Innovation, the Australian Wool Testing Authority, the National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia and WoolProducers Australia.
Nominations for the 2025 Australian Wool Industry Medal will remain open until COB Monday 30th June, 2025. All nominations must be submitted to AWIM NOMINATION [email protected]
